Cardiff-by-the-Sea is a beach community of more then 12,000 residents located within the city of Encinitas. A former farming community, it now offers a little bit of farming, but a many beautiful hillside homes offering unbelievable ocean views. Cardiff is one of the most sought after beach communities in San Diego, and for good reason.  It offers great "walkability" to restaurants, stores, services and the beach.  Doesn't get much better!

Things not to miss in Cardiff:

• Seaside Market - a local, boutique market and a must visit - and daily!

• VG Donuts & Bakery - A "do not miss" for old-school and delicious donuts and pastries.  VG stands for very good.
• Besta-Wan Piazza House - Meet the locals, wear your beach hair, bring the dog and have a great time on the patio...
• The Cardiff Kook - A statue that inspired its own (almost daily!) costumes and yearly fun run
• Cardiff Reef & Cardiff State Beach - some of the best surf breaks in the area
• San Elijo State Beach & Lagoon - Bike, hike, camp, surf, paddleboard and don't miss Bull Taco located at the camp store - the shrimp and chorizo tacos are a "must have".
• Pacific Coast Grill - For that special occasion or anytime - check the views, the sunsets, the sushi and the cocktails.
• Tower 13 - Beach, burgers, ice cold brew and pineapple-infused tequila.  Nice way to end the day!
• Las Olas - You can tell by the constant packed parking lot that this beachside restaurant is a hit - try the chips and salsa and something cold on tap.
